Ma

I called my grandmother "Ma", but Glenn called her "Mama Vinson". My dad's mother was born in New York City and was Jewish. I'm a WHOLE lot like her in personality, and she was a wonderful and inspiring person.

Fun With the Scanner...

...so Jason & Catrina gave us a scanner/printer/fax & I've been having fun scanning old pics to preserve them for posterity's sake:) This is quite the daunting job since I probably have at least 30,000 pics! I'm going to blog about some of the pics if I can remember to do it...so here goes. This is my family when I was probably less than 1 year old and my brother, Glenn, was about 5 years. My father had a house built on Killough Drive in the Roebuck area of Birmingham, AL.

The Wedding in June!

Jason & Catrina's wedding was such a beautiful experience! I'm so grateful that I was well enough to do some dancing at the reception:) I couldn't ask for a more wonderful daughter-in-law! Life Interrupted...

Welll...CFS happened. Last September, I was very frustrated with school & could also feel myself getting sick. So, I dropped out. Unfortunately, before I could enjoy my new freedom, I had a relapse of CFS (around the first of November) with which I was originally diagnosed in 1995. The last year has been very bad with much time spent house & bed-bound. Hopefully, I'm on my way to a full recovery, but either way....I'll try again to write about snippets of my life more often.

Haven't Been Here in a While

...okay...going back to UAB was a complete bust. My health was failing & I was very unhappy one day, so I quit. That was mid to end of Sept....then, all through October (beginning about 2 weeks after I quit school), I caught some bad flu or bugs or something....I'd get better then relapse.................then, right after Halloween....I got really sick (a recurrence with a vengeance of the CFS I had 12 years ago..........and I've been very ill ever since........I'm praying that I'm well soon & trusting God to cure me or put me back in remission or whatever so I can get back to my happy little life......there is no cure or treatment for CFS, but God can do anything & everything. He is my Hope:) Sooooo, I'm trying the blogging here to see if I can stick with it more & give a more gritty & in-depth look at my world than I tend to do on myspace..........we'll see:)
